Relaxing 101: Two Hours To Wind Down Boston Legal Tonight

Boston Legal (ABC, 9:00 p.m. Eastern) will air its final episode (two hours) tonight. I am sure it will not have the impact of the last program of M*A*S*H or Seinfeld, but it will probably be pretty interesting!

The story lines run concurrent with today's real world in that the Crane Pool & Schmidt law firm has financial problems and might have to sell. Alan Shore (James Spader) will go to the Supreme Court to argue allowing Denny Crane (William Shatner) to take a non-FDA approved drug to slow his Alzheimer's.

Candice Bergen's (Murphy Brown) character prepares to wed John Larroquette's (Night Court).

It is assumed they will wind down with another glimpse of Alan and Denny on the balcony with their cigars and whiskey even though at one time I thought they might give up the cigars.

As television programming goes, this David Kelley production has been a good one to watch when you had the chance. The actors have won several Emmys but I think the real reason to like it is that we are familiar with most of the actors.

So, tonight, we'll kick back and really watch the entire two hours as they tie off all the loose ends.
