Snowing in East Texas!
We were at church this evening and when we came out after choir practice, there was snow on the SUV.
It has been snowing in East Texas this evening. That tends to shut things down and there was even a bridge closed here. It was announced that most schools will start two hours later tomorrow morning. (Most children are bused to school and so they will send the buses out two hours later.)
The whole point is that the weather is usually pretty nice here and people tend to wear just a jacket or sweater, not a coat. Nobody has boots. So, when it snows here, it is a big deal and you see people out on their lawns taking photos, rolling some leaves in snow to make at least a snowball if not a small snowman.
Now it has snowed more at other times, but this was still a bit of a surprise. You see, generally we run the house air-conditioning during Christmas week.
So, you folks up north don't need to feel too envious of us today!

Envious? nope, we got 30cm last night of snow, and freezing rain. I am feeling generous, and going to send some of that your way! Merry Christmas.
